On Saturday, the RFMS VEX Robotics teams traveled to Avondale for their first competition of the season. For the first time in SMUSD history, both teams won an award. Team B won the Judges' Award, and Team A won the first Design Award in the district's 12-year competitive history. It also includes an automatic invite to the State Finals and the US Open in Iowa during spring break. It is a great start to our competition season!
The Holiday Shop is up and running, this week only! All items are between $1-$5. Students are allowed to come shop during select times, cash preferred.
Colt's families, we only have 12 school days this month. As a reminder, daily and all day attendance is vital to your student's classroom success. As we push towards the end of the year and the end of the 2nd quarter, please be sure your students are here each and every day. Thank you.

Last night’s Ruth Fisher Middle School EL Night was an absolute success! Our amazing families came together to learn new ways to support their students—while also enjoying delicious nachos, laughter, and festive ornament-making fun.
A huge THANK YOU to Mrs. Larez for planning and organizing such an amazing night for our families. Your hard work and heart made the event truly special! 💛💚

A huge shoutout to our amazing Ruth Fisher Middle School cafeteria staff for today’s incredible Thanksgiving lunch! Our students enjoyed all the fixings — turkey, potatoes, and even a bonus churro for dessert. We are grateful every single day for the work they do to provide delicious meals for all our students.

Good afternoon, in collaboration with Maricopa County Flood and the National Weather Service we will be cancelling school for TVHS, RFMS, and WWES tomorrow November 19th. This will include all student services, the district office, and transportation department.
TES and DSES are not being impacted by flooding and will continue to have their regular schedule. However, no transportation will be provided. Please plan accordingly.

Good afternoon, there will not be Preschool at RFMS or TVHS. All student services have been canceled for the day due to weather and transportation safety concerns.
Due to weather and school cancellation we will not have Girls Softball games this afternoon.
Per Maricopa Country Sheriff's Office school has been cancelled for TVHs, RFMS, and WWES.
Other schools will resume normal operating hours.
