Meet the Administration

Principal Matt DOBESH

Welcome to Ruth Fisher Middle School, home of the Colts!

As a staff, we are committed and dedicated to the academic success and social-emotional growth of your middle school students. Our mission at Ruth Fisher is to promote critical thinkers and successful learners in an environment that differentiates based on student's needs to ensure academic and personal growth every day. As a Kids at Hope school, we believe and practice that all children are capable of success, no exceptions!

Communication is critical for the continued success of our students. Please help us by keeping your information current with our front office and notify the front office when your child is absent from school. Parental support plays an integral part in your child’s education. One way parents are able to help support their child is to view your child’s grades and attendance through our PowerSchool parent portal. We hope that you and your child will take advantage of the parent portal to stay on top of their grades and attendance and ultimately their academic success. If you have any questions or concerns, always speak to the teacher first regarding a concern for your child.

Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to working in partnership with you for your child’s academic success. Feel free to call our front office with any questions you might have about our campus.

I look forward to getting to know you and if I can be of service in any way, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Respectfully,

Matt Dobesh

Welcome to Ruth Fisher where our mission is to promote critical thinkers and successful learners. In order for your student to be a successful learner it is critical they attend everyday. When students work hard in the classroom, are respectful, responsible, safe, and attend regularly they are given the opportunity to play sports here at the middle school. We believe the student in ‘student athlete’ is the most important part of their athletic development. Weekly attendance, behavior, and grade checks are done throughout the season to ensure all athletes remain eligible. Our sports program includes girls volleyball, boys and girls basketball, flag football, baseball, and softball. In addition to sports, we offer various clubs such as robotics, homework, and engineering club. We have a lot to offer your respectful and responsible student. I look forward to working with you.
