Parents and Guests:

Welcome to Ruth Fisher Middle School, the home of the Colts!

We hope you and your family are healthy and safe. We thank you for all the support you have given your students during these unprecedented times. The 2020-2021 school year will be like no other school year. All students will start remote learning on Thursday, August 6, this is our first official day of school. Remote learning will involve students following a daily schedule with live online interaction with teachers throughout the school day. Remote learning will continue until in-person learning is deemed safe for students and staff. We are still waiting to hear from the governor to determine if and when we can open for the option of in-person learning.

Even though we are starting the school year remotely, new learning will be occurring, and our staff is committed to making sure all students are successful. We have the confidence in our educators to effectively teach all students and to do so effectively in this model. This remote learning will look much different than the distance learning that occurred in the spring. Access the remote learning bell schedule for more information. Below are some of the differences your student will notice:

  • Live interactive daily lessons with their teachers
  • The teaching of new grade-level standards
  • Students following their daily schedule
  • The ability for families to request a Chromebook for remote learning

The Saddle Mountian Unified School District's website has additional information regarding the districts reopening plan. Be sure to look at the Safe Return to Schools Plan.

In closing, even though students won’t be on campus learning on August 6, our teachers will be live and ready to welcome your students to Ruth Fisher on our remote learning platform. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call the Ruth Fisher office.

Assistant Principal/AthleticS Director

Welcome to Ruth Fisher where our mission is to promote critical thinkers and successful learners. In order for your student to be a successful learner it is critical they attend everyday. When students work hard in the classroom, are respectful, responsible, safe, and attend regularly they are given the opportunity to play sports here at the middle school. We believe the student in ‘student athlete’ is the most important part of their athletic development. Weekly attendance, behavior, and grade checks are done throughout the season to ensure all athletes remain eligible. Our sports program includes girls volleyball, boys and girls basketball, flag football, baseball, and softball. In addition to sports, we offer various clubs such as robotics, homework, and engineering club. We have a lot to offer your respectful and responsible student. I look forward to working with you.
